UPDATE FROM BELOW.. COUNCIL IS TREATING THE MATTER AS URGENT AND IS UNDER INVESTIGATION..
It took 3 days after submissions closed and the Dozers started rolling on the site that is being subject to approval.
Late yesterday Girral Road residents were alerted by the Dozer tracks that clearing was taking place in the vicinity and some went towards the sounds and witnessed echidna (as pictured running) for his life away from the machine.
Both Councillors were contacted and we are awaiting a response as we speak and it has been noted the sign stating the developers intention to clear vegetation has disappeared.
A inspection has taken place by residents now and we are awaiting that and a response from our Council Officials .
