The Development Process on Infrastructure.

Depending on Council agreements with developers and essential services (underground) like Power, Water, Communications, Sewerage can be delivered by the developers then handed over on commissioning of the service when housing commences.

The construction standards of these services are legislated but if they are not monitored by these authorities on instillations, quality control may be an issue.

From my past experiences in SE Qld communications are allocated on the 1.4 to 2.8 metre Footpath Alignment but varies minimally…..

If a Joint Use design is allocated all services bar sewerage can be delivered by one trench and piping at varying depths with positioning and separation levels allocated .

Whatever happens please remember you do not own your footpath even though you may maintain it, but authorities must reinstate it to its original state and maintain it until it recovers to its former form and if safety issues arise photographs / videos and documentation and diaries are critical if incidents occur..
