A number of Nature Caring residents are making application to Council to get permission to form a group to look after Banyala Reserve.
We all know wildlife use it as refuge areas and it would be a great if we had some caretakers to ensure it retains its true natural habitats for our plant and animals …
The Application Process is in progress and we do have concerns that that it will be lost or parked when new council is elected and assurances are hollow if your not elected, so concrete documented guarantees before election would be credibility appropriate to electors on the way to the ballot box.

Development News On the Grump Ground..
Since the release of the Thagoona Shopping Complex has hit the ground the feedback I’m getting still is the flooding impact on the creek and adjoining streets in Lower Thagoona.
These Residents have had the crap belted out of them over many floods in natural conditions and with the new developments and their concerns are should be more than relevant in any developments.
Other concerns on resident density levels have been aired and the impact on existing residents in conversations are being reported.
The Grumps experience from other rodeos is whenever you see the development signage appear, take note of the date it appeared, check out the development numbering on the board., ensure you have adequate time from the time of erection of sign to the close of submissions is within regulations if not appeal immediately to council for extension.
It’s important to establish communications with your neighbours as numbers count and no more than when you put your submissions into council. Poor submission count indicates lack of interest and open slather for developers… The importance of Correct Submission based on Published Proposed planning details, (not assumptions) is critical.
In closing, and straight talking, development is inevitable BUT you as existing residence need that development sustainable and controlled and you need to be a part of the process not a victim..

In the Chrissy break we get visitors from the concrete jungle and I still cannot comprehend kids being amazed when they see space with animals wondering around in it and when asked how far travelled only the costal locations are it.
Well I did my bit and dragged them out to a country pub “ The Bottle Tree” and opened up a new world of life style never experienced.
Country hospitality, welcoming on entry, chatting to clients and even participating in the banter, and great reasonably priced tucker,all part of the service and experience they took home and raved about on social media.
We have some great usually family owned pubs in out zone and I do my best with my team of astute partners in crime (Gang7) to test beer, wine and tucker of course as our part of our community service🤣🤣 and I’m pleased to report the Bottle Tree being the FIRST reviewed, has set a high benchmark , 5⭐️ , but benchmarks as records are meant to be challenged..
