Stop The Procrastinations

After 42 years on the Thagoona glug dirt Ive seen a it go from one streetlight on the Amaroo and one on Adelong on a scorched earth estate called Ponderosa.

Over that time Councils and Councillors rotated through the electoral system and some strokes of genius evolved like the Girral Road spill upgrade changing 3 under road culverts to 2 then upgrading again, the Adelong avenue horror story and under doctors orders for health issues resist talking about “The Great Thagoona Wall” ,the peak of engineering idiocy and a political charade.

So the from over time is well on the record and to be fair when we had local, I mean representation on the ground in the electorate we were comforted in some way, and as a failed candidate I was blessed with experience of seeing a side of our community not experienced until you try your hand local government.

Times change but the peoples apprehension of that change coming to the kitchen table and effecting your lifestyle lands hard and that’s where we are now in 2025.

The Rosewood to Walloon corridor is under attack from devlopers, real estate agents and council all with the mission of filling their pockets by destroying wildlife, habitat created by us for that wildlife, and our lifestyle that’s delivered generations of kids that know about life and existence outside the shoe boxes the masses call a place to exist, not live.

Now ask yourselves are you confident the existing administration can help you and your family maintain that lifestyle taking into consideration change is unavoidable, between the rubber hits the road are they really with you or just guiding up the crush like cattle to the bolt?

Im not playing politics here, but you all are aware politics is a player, and managing that is a part of getting the outcome we the residents deserve.

To my knowledge at this instant we have contentious estates and developments in Rosewood. Thagoona, Walloon, and if the benchmark is Walloon we in the west are in for death by a thousand cuts.

We can procrastinate or act.

We in the west of Div 4 and parts of Div 1 are the poor relatives of this council FULL STOP>

Our rates collection is not proportional to services provided, we get tit bits announcements when capital works time comes around but delivery is always as reliable as a cheesecloth condom.

To get the results we need our councillors on our dirt, and one action group across the entire Rosewood Thagoona Walloon Corridor.
